I don't remember there being an actual traditional proposal.  In late January we were on the phone having one of our many conversations and out of all the questions I asked him, he gave me all the answers I had wanted to hear.  So during this conversation, I coyly asked him to marry me and he said yes.  When I realized that he was serious, I thought about it and knew that it was what I wanted.
