Our Proposal Aug 10 2012
Seven years into our relationship I was getting anxious for the day to come when Eric would get down on one knee and propose. All summer I was thinking "Is this the weekend!? Should my nails be done!?" On Friday August 10th, 2012. Eric, his sister Cara and I planned on going to the East End Fest. When Cara arrived she noticed my hair was a hot mess and tried to convince me that I needed to do something to it, because she knew I would never forgive her for letting me get engaged with my hair in a bun. I wasnt worried about what I looked like since I was convinced I was getting engaged the next day at the Brad Paisley concert, I even had an outfit ready and got my nails done! We walked around East End Fest, and I started noticing people I knew, and I thought, "How fun is tonight going to be with all of these people here!?". After walking around for about an hour, I noticed more and more family members gathering in an area together. Around 8:00, Erics father yelled, " Hey Eric!" and that was the cue for everyone to gather around us, and get down on one knee. At that moment, Eric and I were left standing with all of our friends and family gathered around us, standing out in the middle of the large crowd. He then began expressing how much he loved me and all the reasons he wants to marry me. He then got down on one knee and asked me to marry him. I said yes! All of our friends and family stood up, cheering and crying in happiness. Our entire proposal was on the news, and they interviewed us after. I was shocked! I went home that night feeling relieved, happy, and excited to start our new life together and thinking about all the good things to come! |
